Focus On the Little Guy
It is the employee who accomplishes the basic ground floor jobs that needs and deserves the most recognition for a job well done. They can have a great internal impetus for personal satisfaction in doing a job well. They are on the bottom of the totem pole and no business can thrive without them. They do a lot of the grunt work or menial tasks that are essential. They don't always have someone looking over their shoulder and often overlooked or taken for granted. Listen to, and take care of, the needs of the little guy and promote team cohesion and personal ownership of the job.
